EA7 Emporio Armani Milano beat Sassari 84-74 in a game decided in the last minutes. The eventual winners had just a three points lead (75-72) but they managed to close the game with a 9-2 run.
Ricky Hickman was the MVP, scoring in total 25 points for the winners and Rakim Sanders added 15 points. Despite a good start by Sassari in the first quarter (19-11), Milano trailed just by two points at half time (36-34) and until the last seconds everything was possible.
Trevor Lacey was the top scorer of the losing side with 15 points and Gani Lawal added 13. It was the 6th Italian Cup in the history of Milano after the wins of 1972, 1986, 1987, 1996 and 2016.
The final day of the Italian final eight included also a three points contest which was won by Filippo Baldi Rossi of Trento and a dunk contest won by Raphael Gaspardo of Cremona thanks to this dunk.
