In a manner more comfortable than what the final score shows, Venezia beat Avellino 88 – 77 to even the semifinal series 1-1.
The hosts controlled most aspects of the game, particularly in the first three quarters where they led 66 – 47. Avellino reacted in the fourth period but only on the offensive end. Their 30 points weren’t sufficient to make them actually threatening and Venezia remained safe and sound.
Hrovje Petric scored 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds for Venezia while Marquez Haynes scored 13 and Melvin Ejim 11.
David Logan led Avellino with 17 points.
