Venezia beat Trento 78-81 in Game 6 and returned to the throne of the Italian league after 74 years and reached its third ever championship! (Fun fact: the team also won the Italian championship in 1944, but the victory was not approved by the Italian Federation.)
Both teams were reserved in the first half, as the first quarter finished in a 17-17 tie and the hosts led the course 35-34 at halftime.
Venezia was up by 12 points at 28′, yet with a partial 9-2 run, Trento reduced to 51-56 after 30 minutes in the game. The 10-point lead was restored again early in the final period, yet the hosts approached to 4 points with 2 minutes to go.
