It took Brescia ten matches to lose their first Italian League game this season. It happened tonight, since Dinamo Sassari beat them on the road 79 – 78 in a very close game
Brescia had a relatively safe 76-70 lead with 1:30 left on the clock and Dinamo fought back. Scott Bamforth hit three free throws, William Hatcher banged a triple and Dinamo was back in the game.
Bamforth was also the one who decided the game. After Luca Vitali scored for the 78 – 78, the American player went to the line and his 1/2 was enough to hand his team the victory. He finished with 21 points, 9 of them in the fourth quarter.
Will Hatcher added 19 for Sassari while Dario Hunt had a double-double for Brescia with 17 points and 10 boards.
Brescia now stands on a 9-1 record and Sassari moved up to a 6-4.
