Red October Cantu got a comfortable win over Pallacanestro Pesaro at home 92 – 73. The hosts remain close to the playoff spots after improving to a 6-6 record in the standings.
Cantu took the reins of the game in the third quarter with a great performance in both ends of the floor (61 – 45) and they increased the lead in the fourth.
Randy Culpepper (20 p.) and Jamie Smith (19 p.) led the winners. Jeremy Lamar Chappell also contributed with 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists. Dallas Moore led all scorers with 28 for the visitors.
Over the day, we had two wins in overtime. Bologna defeated Varese on the road thanks to Alessandro Gentile’s career high and Venezia defended its home court against Sassari despite Scott Bamforth’s 25 points. Also, Darius Jonhson Odom helped Cremona past Brindisi with 31 points.
Earlier today, Milano got the home victory over Brescia. The leaders lost their second game of the season.
