With four players in double-digit numbers, Olimpia Milano defeated Cantu 87 – 75 in Game 2 of the Italian League quarterfinals and gained a 2- 0 advantage in the series.
Dairis Bertans led Milano scorers with 16 points while Mindaugas Kuzminskas had 15. Vladimir Micov added 13 and six rebounds and Kaleb Tarcezwki 12 points plus nine boards.
For a second consecutive game, the players of the “Red Shoes” fired at will in the first half. Milano took a 54 – 35 lead going to the locker room and went into ‘preservation mode” after halftime to easily win the match.
Cantu was unable to match the opponents’ strength despite Randy Culpepper’s 24 points, Charles Thomas, 18 and Christians Burns’ 18 plus 11 rebounds.
