With six players scoring in double figures and backed by a phenomenal first-half performance, Olimpia Milano routed Brescia 84 – 61 to tie the Italian League semifinals 1-1.
The “Red Shoes” practically finished the game in the first half since they headed to the locker room with a 29-point advantage, 60 – 31 Nearly half of Milano‘s points came from beyond the arc (9/19).
There was no turning back from that margin for Brescia that just managed to reduce its deficit bit after the break.
Drew Goudelock scored 15 points, Vladimir Micov 14, the same as Arturas Gudaitis who also grabbed eight rebounds. Captain Andrea Cinciarini added 12 points, Mindaugas Kuzminskas 11 and Dairis Bertans 10.
Dario Hunt (14 points), Bryce Cotton (13) and Benjamin Ortner (11 points) stood out for Brescia.
Among the game’s attendants were LA Clippers forward Danilo Gallinari and San Antonio Spurs forward Davis Bertans who watched his brother Dairis help his team take a key win. The latter was also present in Game 1.
