The Italian Federation announced that Olimpia Milano center Arturas Gudaitis’ sanction for the scuffle with Dinamo Sassari center Terran Petteway was reduced to a one-game suspension that was converted to a 3.000 fine.
“The Italian Federation’s Appeal Court reduced Arturas Gudaitis suspension from two games to one. As a consequence, the sanction will be replaced with a 3.000 euros fine. Gudaitis will be available for the Serie A’s game next Sunday,” Olimpia Milano announced.
Following Sunday’s (16/12) game between Milano and Sassari, and during the post-game handshakes, Gudaitis and Petteway had a scuffle. Gudaitis apologized on social media for the incident, stating the following: “I want to apologize to all the basketball supporters for what they saw yesterday at the end of the game. Something like this shouldn’t happen on a basketball court.”
