Mike James banked game-high 27 points and led Olimpia Milano to a 72-67 home win against Varese in the Italian league.
James also added eight rebounds and five assists while the only double-digit scorer for Milano beside him was Amedeo Della Valle with ten points. For Varese, Aleksa Avramovic scored 16 in addition to Dominique Archie’s 13 points.
Milano had an early 17-8 lead and kept the same distance until halftime (37-28). However, Varese came back and grabbed their first lead (38-37) early in the third. The game stayed balanced (60-59) but Milano made an 11-0 run near the end which was enough to secure the win eventually.
Milano stayed perfect with an 11-0 record while Varese now holds a 7-4 record.
