Alberto Bucci, a member of the Italian basketball Hall of Fame, and former coach and president of Virtus Bologna, has passed away.
As the club announced: “Virtus Basketball Bologna, Virtus Foundation and the whole world of “black V” say goodbye to the President, Alberto Bucci, who left us tonight after having fought for eight long years, as a generous and tenacious warrior, for the precious good of life. The whole club is hugging Rossella, Beatrice, Annalisa and Carlotta, all the family and friends of a great man, and shares with them this moment of infinite pain”.
Born in Bologna on April 25, 1948 Bucci has won three championships in his career, two Italian Cups and a Super Cup with Virtus.
