David Moss and Awudu Abass combined for more than half of Brescia’s points to lead their team to a 92 – 86 overtime win over Olimpia Milano.
Moss finished with 27 points plus four rebounds while Abbas had 23 points and nine rebounds to inflict major damage to their former team. Abbas played for Milano last season and Moss in 2013-2015.
Milano, that was without Mike James, actually forced the extra period thanks to a 0 – 6 run in the final minute of regulation and 2/2 free throws by James Nunnally (25 points, seven rebounds). Brescia, though, had the last laugh to improve to 13 – 14 and get two wins below the playoffs zone.
Despite the loss, Milano remains the standings leader in Italy with 20- 7 and two wins more than second-placed Reyer Venezia and Vanoli Cremona. Venezia was overpowered 104 – 85 by Trieste, and Cremona took advantage of this result to climb at no. 2 in the table by beating Brindisi 93 – 86.
