A few hours after winning the Alphonso Ford Top Scorer award, Olimpia Milano announced that Mike James will have to remain out due to an injury on his right foot.
According to the team’s statement, James was injured in his foot and ankle, while his rehabilitation process has already begun and he will be re-evaluated in the following days.
Although the rehabilitation timeframe was not stated in the announcement, James’ absence could take up to two weeks, per several Italian media reports, so he will probably be able to join his team ahead of the Italian League playoffs, where they look to defend their title.
