Marquez Haynes scored a game-high 23 points (6/8 triples) and grabbed five rebounds as Reyer Venezia routed Dolomiti Energia Trento 87 – 62 to win the Italian League quarterfinal series 3-2.
Venezia established a strong lead at halftime (40 – 24) and preserved absolute control of the game. Trento never recovered following their 10 – 24 slump in the second period.
Devyn Marble scored 16 points while Beto Gomes finished with 14 points and five rebounds for Trento. Apart from Haynes, Mike Bramos contributed 19 points and seven rebounds to Venezia. Austin Daye added a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Venezia will face Vanoli Cremona in the semifinals. Olimpia Milano plays against Dinamo Sassari in the other matchup that will launch the semifinal stage in 29/5.
