Banco di Sardegna Sassari logged an 80-66 road win over Umana Reyer Venezia in Game 2 of the Italian League Finals and tied the series at 1-1.
Jaime Smith led the way with 19 points while Tyrus McGee added 14 and Jack Cooley added 16 points. The latter also grabbed ten rebounds.
For Venezia, Austin Daye was the only double-digit player with 20 points while also adding eight rebounds. Marco Giuri helped with eight points.
Sassari was ahead 21-17 after ten minutes and 41-30 at halftime. They continued after the break not letting Venezia get closer than the seven-point margin (58-51) and eventually securing the win.
