Reyer Venezia was crowned 2019 Italian League champion by crushing Dinamo Sassari 87 – 61 in Game 7 and winning the series 4-3.
This is the fourth championship title in the history of Venezia and the second for the club in two years since they also won it in 2017.
Mike Bramos (22 points, six rebounds) and Marquez Haynes (21 points) paced Venezia to victory. Their team already led 40 – 36 at halftime but was vastly superior in the second half to turn the game into a blowout.
Rashawn Thomas (16 points, seven rebounds) was the only Sassari player in double figures. The Sardinian side crumbled down 30 – 17 in the third period, never to recover as Venezia torched its way to the victory and the title.
