Virtus Bologna prevailed over Trento with an 83-77 victory away from home and remained on top of the Italian League standings with a 14-2 record.
Milos Teodosic came in clutch for the winning side, as he dropped 30 points along with five rebounds in his 30-minute presence on the court. He paced Virtus in the fourth and most crucial period, posting 16 of the team’s total 28 points.
Virtus was in charge of the game for the most part, even with a 17-point advantage at halftime (42-25). The home team reacted with a partial 25-13 run in the third quarter, though Teodosic was there to keep his team on track.
Earlier in Round 17, Cantu shocked Olimpia Milano.
Sassari defeated Pistoia and follows Virtus’ lead in the second position of the standings with a 13-3 record, Brescia improved to 11-5 and Olimpia Milano fell to a 10-6 record.
