Germany is in search of the next national team head coach after parting ways with Henrik Rodl. The separation with the previous head coach was announced on Friday.
Rodl, 52, took over in 2016 inking a deal to became the full-time coach of Germany. The national team ranked sixth in the 2017 EuroBasket, 18th in the 2019 FIBA World Cup, and captured eighth place in Tokyo returning to the Olympic Games after 13 years. His side had topped the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Split to clinch the Olympics berth.
The 2022 edition of EuroBasket is coming up for Germany, among the tournament hosts with the knockout stage planned to be held in Berlin. However, the preceding portion of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers will bring up the first fixtures for the next national team selector.
