After parting ways with Veljko Mrsic, the Croatian Basketball Federation announced that the new head coach of the men’s national team will be Damir Mulaomerovic.
Mulaomerovic has been a part of the national team’s coach staff since 2020. In the past, he was also coaching the Bosnian national team as well as Kosovo.
When it comes to the club coaching career, Mulaomerovic started off at Sloboda Tuzla after which he moved on to Cibona, KB Prishtina before returning to Sloboda. Since last year, he has been coaching Cedevita Junior.
As a player, Mulaomerovic played across Europe and on a high level, including Euroleague which he won in 2002 with Panathinaikos. He also played for Cibona, PAOK, Efes, Real Madrid, Olympiacos throughout his two-decade-long career.
