Alperen Sengun greatly showed the impact he can make for Turkey in the 2023 pre-Olympic Qualifiers in his first appearance with his national team this summer. The Houston Rockets big man had 24 points, eight rebounds and eight assists as Turkey downed Poland 87 – 84 in a preparation game that took place in Istanbul.
He also made a key 3-point play down the stretch and delivered plenty of highlights throughout the match on both ends.

Utah Jazz center Omer Faruk Yurtseven had 14 points plus nine rebounds for Turkey. New Chicago Bulls forward Onuralp Bitim contributed 12 points plus four assists. The “12 Giant Men” begin their games for the pre-Olympic Qualifiers on August 12 in the Istanbul tournament.
For Poland, Olek Balcerowski produced 24 points. His national team will be trying to get a ticket to the Olympic Qualifiers via the Pre-Olympic Qualifying tournament that is co-hosted with Estonia.
