Nedovic last played for the Serbian national team at the 2022 EuroBasket, and he says he won’t be representing Serbia again.
The Crvena Zvezda guard announced that he decided to end his career with the national team last summer.
“I finished with the national team last summer during preparations for the World Cup. My body could no longer withstand the additional effort, as it needed more and more time to recover. The years do not decrease; they only increase as club seasons get longer, eagerly awaiting rest. If I am to dedicate part of that period to the national team, there comes a moment when I can’t anymore. And then, I became a father to my daughter Talia. I was practically ‘split in half’; I couldn’t do it anymore. Younger ones are coming…” Nedovic said for Sport Klub.
After playing for youth selections, Nedovic debuted for the A team during the 2013 EuroBasket Qualifiers and won the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
