Serbia’s national basketball team coach, Svetislav Pesic, led the team to a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics.
In an interview with RTS, before big celebration in front of the City Hall, Pesic discussed his uncertain future on the national team’s bench.
“I don’t know myself. I really don’t know. I have to ask myself first, then I’ll give an answer. Sometimes I wonder why I need all this, but then a success like this happens.”
He also commented on the state of Serbian basketball, expressing frustration over the lack of a professional league and emphasizing the need for systemic changes.
“Our system is completely outdated. We have to change urgently, and whether those changes will happen depends primarily on Crvena Zvezda and Partizan as our biggest clubs,” Pesic concluded.
