Predrag Danilovic, the president of the Basketball Federation of Serbia, is set to leave his post after eight years.

Danilović took the helm of the Serbian Basketball Federation (KSS) in 2016 and was re-elected in December 2020. His term is set to expire in December, but according to Meridian Sport, the basketball legend wishes to step down earlier.

Reportedly, he wants to expedite the election process and allow his successor as president to make a decision on the national team’s head coach before the start of the new competitive cycle.

During his tenure, Danilovic has had success almost on par with his playing career, as the Serbian national teams have won 27 medals.

Danilović was regarded as one of the best European guards during his playing days, winning the EuroLeague twice (with Partizan and Virtus Bologna), as well as numerous medals with the Serbian national team.
