Slovenia will begin the training camp ahead of the qualification games for the Eurobasket 2017 with 21-men squad chosen by head coach Igor Kokoskov.
Led by its star, Goran Dragic of the Miami Heat and powered by players such as Zoran Dragic (Olimpia Milano), Jaka Blazic (Laboral Kutxa) or Alen Omic (Anadolu Efes), the Slovenian national team is the strong favorite in Group E of the qualifier. They will face Ukraine, Bulgaria and Kosovo in the Group, with two teams getting the ticket for the Eurobasket 2017.
