Speaking in the Italian basketball summit Petrucci said: “In past few days there’s been a lot of talk about possible absence of Italian players for the November qualifiers due to the clash (of dates). I’d like to remind everyone of one thing. There are already precise rules in place for those that do not respond to a national team call-up.”
Petrucci of course refers to the EuroLeague and not to the NBA players, who have a different status, and after the Greek and Spanish players unions he supports the new FIBA calendar.
