Sergio Scariolo and Pau Gasol have been together in the Spanish NT through thick and thin and the Italian coach stepped up to support him after Giorgos Vasilakopoulos’ recent comments.
The Greek Basketball Federation president stated that “Gasol isn’t a player“, causing negative reactions in the basketball world.
Scariolo tweeted: “When someone says something stupid, don’t listen to him”, while the tweet shared an image of Pau Gasol’s achievements.
Earlier, Jorge Garbajosa also showed support to Gasol, stating that his comments were a mistake and no tolerance will be shown.
