The Georgian Basketball Federation confirmed Thursday that all necessary documentation in the offices’ structures of the Government of Georgia has been presented, thus Matt Janning will soon receive his Georgian citizenship.
With his Georgian passport, Janning will be counted as a European player, therefore, not he will not occupy one of the two foreigner spots Baskonia is allowed to hold in the Spanish League.
Once he receives his official documents, Baskonia will be able to look out on the non-European market for further additions.
