Latvia faced no problem against its neighbor Lithuania in Vilnius and prevailed 97-80 ahead of the September World Cup European qualifiers games.
Janis Timma put on an 18-point performance for the winners, along with seven rebounds, while Martins Meiers and Rihards Lomazs also shared 18 points each. Janis Strelnieks also finished in double-digits by adding 10 points.
Lithuania’s Mantas Kalnietis and Mindaugas Kuzminskas posted 11 points each, while Edgaras Ulanovas shared 8 points for the team.
