Goran Dragic reacted to Igor Kokoskov taking over the Serbian national team by wishing him good luck and publicly thanking him for being the coach of Slovenia. With Kokoskov at the helm, Slovenia won its first-ever EuroBasket in 2017.

Dragic led Slovenia to the gold medal in the EuroBasket 2017, under Kokoskov. The Miami Heat guard was named MVP and made the All-Tournament Team after averaging 22.6 points, 5.1 assists and 4.4 rebounds in his squad’s 9-0 run towards the title.
