Ian Mahinmi produced 15 points and six rebounds for the Washington Wizards in the 126-114 win over the Chicago Bulls at the Capital One Arena. Coming off the bench, Moritz Wagner added 12 points, three boards, a pair of dimes, one steal and one rejection, and Davis Bertans ten points, a couple of rebounds, one assist and one block. Starter Isaac Bonga went for eight points, five boards, one dime and one rejection. Anzejs Pasecniks (left hip) was out. On the Bulls, Tomas Satoransky ended up with 19 points, eight assists and a pair of rebounds, but Adam Mokoka did not play and Lauri Markkanen (right hip) remained sidelined.
Other Tuesday 2019-20 NBA Regular Season action saw the San Antonio Spurs get back on the win column with the 114-106 victory opposite to the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. Jakob Poeltl threw in one point, two rebounds, two dimes, two steals and one rejection, and Marco Belinelli one more board. However, Luka Samanic remained on his G League assignment. The hosts featured starting Danilo Gallinari at 15 points, eight boards, three assists and one steal, and reserve Dennis Schroder at 14 points and three dimes.
No European points for the Houston Rockets, but 116-105 win over the Boston Celtics at the Toyota Center. Thabo Sefolosha registered one rebound, one dime, one interception and one rejection, but Isaiah Hartenstein and William Howard did not get on the board in limited action. Daniel Theis’ 11 points, nine boards, one assist and one steal went to waste, while Enes Kanter finished with three rebounds. Javonte Green did not play and Vincent Poirier was inactive.
Nicolo Melli racked up ten points, nine boards, three dimes and one block off the bench for the New Orleans Pelicans that defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 138-117, at the Smoothie King Center. Another reserve, Jaylen Hoard had six points and a pair of rebounds for the visitors, but Mario Hezonja (left ankle) and Jusuf Nurkic (left leg) were on the injury list.
The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Los Angeles Clippers, 110-103, at the Wells Fargo Center. Furkan Korkmaz moved into the starting lineup, but scored no points in 23 minutes, only had one rebound and one steal. Starting as well, Ivica Zubac put in seven points, eight boards, a couple of blocks and a pair of assists in losing effort.
