Nikola Jokic wasn’t at his best early on this season but he managed to get back to his All-Star form. The Serbian big thinks he just got out of a shooting slump but admitted he also lost quite a bit of weight throughout the season.
“It just happened. Maybe I needed a little bit more time to warm up, to get going. I think I didn’t really shoot that well in the first period [of the season]. My shots were always off and short. And I was a little bit overweight and now I lost a lot of weight and I’m feeling good out there,” he told ESPN.
When asked how much weight he lost, Jokic said “around 20-25 pounds” (10 kilograms = 22 pounds) and credited the Nuggets strength coach Felipe Eichenberger for providing him with the necessary diet and workout plans
