After posting his NBA-leading 13th triple-double of the 2019-20 Regular Season, Luka Doncic discussed his upcoming birthday or actually lessened its importance. “I saw it on Twitter,” he told reporters at the locker room following the Dallas Mavericks road win versus the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night referring to the point that next time on the court he will be 21.
It was his last match as a 20-year-old. Friday will mark his 21st birthday, will arrive with plenty of records for players under 21 among his list of accomplishments. Wrapped up his run before turning 21 at the AT&T Center with 26 points, 14 assists and ten boards to his name.
“For me, Madrid is better”
“It’s not the best city in the world. For me, Madrid is better,” he replied to a question on celebrating his 21st birthday in one of the best cities in the world. “Just dinner probably,” he added on his plans for Friday.
“Nothing,” Doncic pointed out further downplaying the importance of his birthday. “In my country adulthood comes at 18, so it doesn’t matter.”
“I don’t think it’s too serious”
Picked up a left hand injury, but returned to the court to finish the game versus the Spurs. “I don’t think it’s too serious,” he mentioned commenting on his brief exit.
