Donovan Mitchell was the second Utah Jazz and NBA player to get tested positive on coronavirus after his teammate Rudy Gobert.

The guard has been in isolation but noted he’s been feeling well and without any symptoms whatsoever: “Right now, the biggest thing for me is to stay in isolation and just keep to myself. I have no symptoms, which is a unique situation. I keep making a joke when people ask me. ‘If you were to tell me I’m about to play in a seven-game series tomorrow, I’d be ready to lace up.”

And that lack of symptoms is what Mitchell believes to be the scariest thing about coronavirus: “I’m asymptomatic. I could walk down the street and if it wasn’t public knowledge that I was sick, you wouldn’t know it. I think that’s the scariest thing about this virus. You may seem fine, be fine but you never know who you may be talking to and who they are going home to.”

He was also asked about Gobert’s “reckless behavior” and has he been in touch with his pick ‘n’ roll partner:  “To be honest, it took a while for me to cool off. I read what he said and hear what he says. I’m glad he’s doing OK, I’m glad I’m doing well. I’m just really happy that it’s just the two of us and the whole party. Neither he or I have children at home. Some teammates, staff have children at home, so, I’m glad we were able to kind of contain it as much as possible,” he said.
