The Nets decided not to make a long term commitment with Mirza Teletovic and as it was expected they made him a qualifying offer worth a little over 4 million US dollars.
What’s important however is that the Nets are waiting for the market to decide Teletovic’s value, since he is now a restricted free agent and the team can match any deal he gets from an other NBA franshice in order to keep him. Of course the Nets can let him walk, if they don’t match up the offer.
Teletovic can also choose to accept the one year offer which was made by the Nets and become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2016.
