NBA commissioner Adam Silver and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban named among representatives to discuss options on the future of North American sports leagues with U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday.
“We look forward to speaking with many industry leaders, seeking their input on how we can return to what was until very recently the greatest economy anywhere in the world,” mentioned Trump on Tuesday evening, “We have to get our sports back. I’m tired of watching baseball games that are 14 years old.”
The U.S. President will be seeking advice on ending the hiatus on sports caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Silver himself was included in a previous conference call with all sports commissioners.
The advisory committee also features NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, UFC president Dana White, WWE CEO Vince McMahon, PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan, LPGA commissioner Michael Whan, USTA chairman Patrick Galbraith, MLS commissioner Don Garber, and NASCAR CEO Lesa Kennedy.
