Ryan Broekhoff is signing with the Philadelphia 76ers, agent Andy Shiffman told ESPN.
Broekhoff has been a free agent since February and was drawing interest from various EuroLeague teams. The Dallas Mavericks held him the past couple of seasons after signing him to a two-year contract in 2018.
The 29-year-old Australian forward averaged 4.2 points and 2.5 boards in ten minutes this season across 17 games. He has been shooting 39% from the three-point territory.
Before moving to the NBA, Broekhoff played in Turkey for Besiktas and in Russia for Lokomotiv Kuban. In 2018, he was named to the All-EuroCup First Team.
He was a part of the Australian national team squad that finished fourth at the 2016 Olympics, falling to Serbia in the semis and to Spain – by one point – in the bronze clash.
