Thabo Sefolosha will not be part of the Houston Rockets squad for the season-ending tournament planned to conclude the 2019-20 NBA season at Orlando, ESPN reports. Coming in as a replacement is Luc Mbah a Moute, according to The Athletic.

Sefolosha, 36, is the latest NBA player opting to skip the NBA restart. According to the regulations implemented, teams can sign substitute players to replace current squad members electing not to play in Orlando.

The Switzerland-born swingman averaged 2.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per appearance prior to the 2019-20 season being halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. He joined the Rockets last September inking a one-year contract as a free agent.

Mbah a Moute, 33, is set for his first NBA appearance since the 2018-19 season. Injuries limited him to four 2018-19 matches with the Los Angeles Clippers and to the sidelines for the 2019-20 campaign.

As for the Rockets, they sit sixth in the Western Conference thanks to the 40-24 record. All teams making the trip to Orlando will go through eight additional regular season tilts before the top eight from each conference move on to the playoffs.
