Kristaps Porzingis via a video call with reporters talked about the lengthy hiatus leading into the upcoming NBA restart and his hobbies within the bubble in Orlando.
“This is a good moment to get to know each other more,” he said promoting the effort to build team chemistry ahead of the 2019-20 season resumption.
The Dallas Mavericks are among the 22 teams in Orlando. Each team will play eight additional regular season games before the top eight from each conference advance to a conventional postseason tournament.
“More time to heal the stuff that was hurting,” he said responding to a question on the four-month break, “I also had the opportunity to return home and be with my friends and my family. It’s always good to be on home soil.”
The Latvian big now gets to spent quality time with his basketball family, including Mavs teammate Boban Marjanovic.
“He has a little set-up for video games,” he said, “After our two-day quarantine, we played some video games in his room. However, I don’t really play video games that much, I watch a lot of YouTube videos and try to read some books.”
