Paul Pierce thinks that there’s no player in the NBA today that is more talented than Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic.
“I expect special things from him. We’re talking about a kid who made one of the biggest leaps in recent memory. From rookie of the year to MVP caliber player. He’s won every European championship that you can think of, every European MVP that you can think of. So I expect a great thing from him. To me, he’s the most talented player in the NBA today,” Pierce said during ESPN’s The Jump while commenting on what he expects from Doncic if the Mavericks make the playoffs.
When Pierce’s former Boston Celtics teammate Kendrick Perkins said that Doncic is “… one of the most talented players” in the league, The Truth insisted on his take: “Not one, THE most talented.”
Doncic has been in the conversation for MVP this season after averaging 28.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists, setting Dallas to a path towards a playoffs return for the first time since 2016. In February, the Slovenian point forward made his first All-Star Game appearance as a starter for Team Lebron.
