Dallas Mavericks forward Kristaps Porzingis will miss his team’s scrimmage game against the Indiana Pacers Sunday (26/7) since he entered a one-day quarantine after forgetting to test for coronavirus.
“He broke one of the protocols yesterday. He didn’t get tested. Just forgot to get tested,” Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said. “So when that happens, for safety reasons, he’s unable to join the team the following day. He’s getting re-tested today and I believe he’ll be able to re-join us tomorrow.”
Any player who misses his daily coronavirus test has to be quarantined one day and produce a negative test before rejoining his team.
Denver Nuggets forward Paul Millsap missed Nuggets’ Saturday scrimmage vs. the New Orleans Pelicans for the same reason as Porzingis.
