Nikola Jokic via video call discussed the Denver Nuggets dropping Saturday’s game against the Miami Heat, their official opener in the Orlando bubble.
“I am prepared right now,” he noted explaining that his side must get ready even before the postseason following the eight seeding games, “We can’t think about the playoffs, we have to start playing good basketball right now.”
The Nuggets sitting third in the Western Conference clinched a playoff spot prior to landing in Orlando. Home-court advantage does not count in the single-site season-ending tournament but Jokic talking through his mouth-mask looked concerned.
“Don’t turn the ball over,” he added commenting on his side struggling to keep up with the Heat during the second half of the encounter.
Following for the Nuggets, the Oklahoma City Thunder, among the teams looking to improve their seeding in their expense heading into the playoffs. The upcoming match is scheduled for Monday.
