The 2019-20 NBA season restarted and the playoffs stage of the single-site tournament is quickly approaching but not all 30 teams made their way to the bubble set in Orlando. Eight teams not in the playoffs hunt were left out but may get their players back for workouts or scrimmages in September, according to Shams Charania.
The report notes that the NBA and NBPA are contemplating an in-market bubble program including one week of individual workouts, two weeks of group practices, and one hour of 5-on-5 per day, for the eight teams left out. Players and coaches would be tested daily.
The Atlanta Hawks, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, and New York Knicks did not make the trip to Orlando alongside the remaining NBA field. Those teams are sidelined since March 11.
