Luka Doncic has been phenomenal since moving to the NBA but missed the playoffs the first year. This time around, the squad entered the best eight teams in the Western Conference somewhat comfortably at the 7th seed.
Although it will be his first such experience in the NBA, Luka has been playing at the highest level in Europe and is no stranger to the atmosphere of the playoffs. He has been aware of that himself as well:
“Yeah, it’s the playoffs. I’ve been in playoffs before, just in Europe. It’s not the same level but it’s the same emotions and I’m excited for it for sure,” and added. “I’m gonna lean on that. It’s tough to play in Europe too. A way higher level in the NBA but the same emotion, so you gotta be ready.”
Their opponent in the first round will be the LA Clippers who secured the 2nd seed and the Mavs star expects nothing to come easy: “They’re a tough team to beat. We just gotta be prepared and give everything we have.”
