Domantas Sabonis is expected to land in the NBA’s bubble Saturday and will immediately enter quarantine, as Indiana Pacers coach Nate McMillan told reporters before Game 3 against the Miami Heat.
A potential Sabonis return would be dependent on the Pacers extending its series with the Heat long enough, though as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski notes, there’s no expectation he’ll rejoin the roster if the series is still alive once he clears quarantine this week.
24-year-old Sabonis suffered from plantar fasciitis and left the bubble during scrimmages before the season restart in Orlando.
