The Boston Celtics became the first team to advance to Conference semifinals by beating the Philadelphia 76ers 110-106 in Game 4 and sweeping the series.
Kemba Walker finished with a game-high 32 points while Jayson Tatum had 28 points and 15 rebounds. Tatum also drained a 3-pointer from afar for the 89 – 77 in the final seconds of the third period to cap an important 12-0 run for Boston.
Joel Embiid had 27 points and 10 rebounds for the Sixers that looked stunned following Tobias Harris’ scary fall on the court and injury with 2:40 to play in the third quarter and the score 80 – 77. Despite suffering a left eye laceration and being evaluated for a concussion, Harris returned to the court with 5:12 remaining and his team down 102-90.
Daniel Theis contributed 15 points and four rebounds to Celtics’ win while Enes Kanter had six points and five rebounds off the bench. Furkan Korkmaz checked in for four minutes and didn’t take any shot.
