The Milwaukee Bucks led a walkout at the NBA bubble on Wednesday in the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting on Sunday, and former President Barack Obama stands with them in this decision.
Obama tweeted out his support for the team and the rest of the league on Wednesday night, joining dozens of players who also reacted to this historic moment.
The former USA President included a video of LA Clippers coach Doc Rivers in his tweet, in which the latter spoke to reporters about the shooting and being black in America, earlier this week.
I commend the players on the @Bucks for standing up for what they believe in, coaches like @DocRivers, and the @NBA and @WNBA for setting an example. It’s going to take all our institutions to stand up for our values. pic.twitter.com/rUGETgAt7P
