The NBA players took the decision to continue playing the 2020 playoffs, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Thursday’s three playoff games are being postponed and will be rescheduled to be played as soon as Friday.
NBA players began holding meetings and discussions over how to proceed with the remainder of the season and whether to continue the playoffs or not, after the Milwaukee Bucks’ historic decision to boycott Game 5 vs. the Orlando Magic in protest over the shooting of Jacob Blake. The players met Wednesday night and Thursday morning before ultimately making the call to resume the playoffs.
Woj later reported that there will be a meeting of NBA owners and players to discuss plans of action on social justice issues.
