J.J. Barea described his feelings of frustration after not being able to contribute for the Dallas Mavericks in the postseason that was concluded for the team Sunday and now he looks ahead to what’s next, without ruling out the option of playing in Spain.
“I still want to play basketball; I feel like I can still play basketball. I don’t know exactly where. If it is going to be in Dallas, I know what they want is to move me to coach. If I want to play basketball, I have to go the other way,” he mentioned in an interview with elnuevodia.com.
“It was frustrating,” he had said on the fact that he didn’t play much in the playoffs. “I don’t know how long I’ve been in the playoffs (8 starts), but I’ve contributed and it was frustrating that I couldn’t help out on the court. It is out of my control. My job was to get ready and they make the decisions.”
“For now I want to play in the NBA. I haven’t thought much about other options. There will be (options), but I am used to this life and the NBA,” he said. “Spain is always an option. It was my plan B before I got to the NBA. That was many years ago,” he added.
