Nikola Jokic put on a big double-double of 26 points (4-5 3-pointers) and 18 rebounds as the Denver Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Clippers 110 – 101 to tie the series 1-1.
Jamal Murray had a game-high 27 points for the Nuggets that led from start to finish to get the win. Denver was particularly aggressive in the first quarter, scoring 44 points against the Clippers’ 25.
Paul George (22 points, eight rebounds) and Ivica Zubac (15 points and nine rebounds) were the Clippers’ top scorers. Kawhi Leonard had his lowest-scoring playoff game since 2016, finishing with 13 points on 4-17 shots. He also added 10 rebounds and eight assists.
The Clippers didn’t manage to get closer than five points in the second half. With the score 91 – 86, the Nuggets reacted by scoring 10 unanswered points to once again establish a safe margin and never felt threatened again.
