Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered a right ankle sprain in the 14th minute of Game 4 against the Miami Heat and that was the end of the night for him as it was officially announced by the Bucks. Giannis re-injured the same ankle he twisted in Game 3.
It was unclear until the last moment if Giannis would be able to play in Game 4 with coach Mike Budenholzer saying in the pre-game presser: “He’s warming up, testing it. A decision is yet to be made. Between now and tip obviously, you’ll know. We’ll know. He’s giving it everything he can to be available. We’ll decide in the next 80 minutes between now and tip.”
Before getting injured, Giannis set the tone with 19 points in 11 minutes of action making 8/10 FG, as the Milwaukee Bucks got the overtime win and cut the lead of Miami to 3-1.
