Giannis Antetokounmpo has dismissed rumors that he would request a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks in the offseason, following the team’s second-round loss in the 2020 playoffs.
Antetokounmpo tweeted the following, thanking the fans while hinting he will be suiting up next season:
Thank you Milwaukee for all the love and support you showed my teammates and I this season. You guys are the best fans in the league. I can’t wait for next season! #ThroughTheWall #Antetokounbros ?? pic.twitter.com/k5D6HxSZwH

Last week, the Greek Freak unfollowed his Bucks teammates on Instagram and Twitter and he reportedly also met with Bucks’ ownership to discuss about this past season and the planning for the next one.
His tweet comes two days after Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry confirmed the team’s willingness to spend into luxury tax in order to keep Giannis on board for the next season.
